Happy Thanksgiving!

Having a good day? Cooking a turkey? Pre-Black Friday shopping?

Whatever you're doing, have a great day!

We are celebrating today alone. Just our family. We're cooking a turkey. (Hopefully there won't be another blog on how the turkey turned out given that we have an old, tempermental 1940's oven.) I cooked a pecan and a pumpkin pie yesterday. We're making stuffing, broccoli, sweet-potato casserole (my 1st time ever making it...another blog...let's hope not), and mashed potatoes. We had hoped to have some GREAT Red-Lobster style biscuits that are gluten-free, but we can't find anyone locally that carries them. They're Whole Foods brand and we don't have one near us. (Want to join my pity party?) Instead, we'll be having homemade biscuits...thanks to Arrowhead Mills.

Have a great day and remember that the first Thanksgiving was held by the Pilgrims to thank the Indians for having helped them get through their first winter in the New World. You can send monetary gifts or GF Red-Lobster style biscuits to me later as a show of thanks for what my ancestors did. Just don't ask me how to get you through an off-grid winter. I like my heat, and I'm not going to give it up. Remove Formatting from selection

Happy pre-spend lots of money so the retailers will go into the black day! Um...I mean Happy Thanksgiving Day.

You're right. There are incredible deals to be found if you search for them. (And not only on Black Friday, either.)

Thanks for the greetings.

I hope you had a great time shopping and a Happy Thanksgiving.
