Universal Health Care?

Sometimes there just aren’t words to say what I’m feeling. It’s not often that I’m without words. I usually have a lot to say. I would like to thank Mr. Tom Daschle for sponsoring this wordless moment.

The thanks can also go to each and every Representative and Senator who voted for this.

What disturbs me more, is what Mr. Daschle said a year ago which prompted things to happen as they did. His disturbing words?

“ The next president should act quickly before critics mount an opposition. If that means attaching a health-care plan to the federal budget, so be it,” he said. “The issue is too important to be stalled by Senate protocol.”
May I please go on the record as saying that NO issue is TOO important to not be “stalled” by Senate protocol! Especially if that “stalling” is an attempt to stop a fleecing of the American public or to give the American public a chance to speak on an issue that will literally change the course of their lives forever.

I would pray that even those who support universal health care would want it to be passed through legal, integral methods rather than “quickly before critics could mount an opposition”.

Mr. Daschle should be sent home with the proverbial scarlet letter around his neck.

Unbelievable!

Unbelievable!

Daschle has been a tool for many years. He's basically saying the president should "slip legislation by" without giving Congress the right amount of time to discuss it.

The only reason you would want to slip something by is because you know it won't pass under normal circumstances.
